Contest Rules Change & Location Change
Starting January 21, 2016, monthly photo contests will be held in the Photo Arts Club of Toledo Club House.
The PACT board approved a revision to our monthly contests. We will now have 3 levels in both the prints and digital competitions. They are beginning, intermediate and advanced in both the "assignment"and "open" divisions.
1. To start this off, you will be asked to place yourself at the level you are comfortable with. If at a later date, you feel you made a mistake, you can make a one time request to retreat to a lower level.
2. To advance to a higher level, intermediate or advanced, you will need at least four first place wins. This can be any combination of print and or digital, assignment and open divisions. The time frame, to obtain four first place ribbons is not limited to one year but over whatever time frame it takes.
3. Any member in the beginning or the intermediate level who wishes to be moved up to a higher level, may do so regardless of first place ribbons won or not won.
4. If there is only one entry in any level or division, that entry can be judged, critiqued and awarded a first place. In this situation the individual may wish to enter the photo(s) in the next level up for this particular meeting while continuing in future competitions at their prior level.
Print Photo Contests:
A PDF form is available HERE for prints. Please download and save so you can have your labels printed and attached before the competition. There will be some available at the clubhouse.
There will be a master list at each competition for you to sign, indicate the level you wish to start in and date if you have not already done so or are just starting out.
