The 34th Annual Photo Arts Club Photo Contest processing, judging and exhibition have been POSTPONED due to health concerns over the Coronavirus. We will reschedule once Metroparks Toledo reopens their facilities
All prints already submitted will be held until processing resumes. In addition, we are extending our submission deadline until one week after Metropark Toledo facilities reopen.
The Wildwood Visitor Center will not be accepting entries during this closure. Prints can still be dropped off at Kohne Camera & The Print Refinery, 120 W. South Boundary, Perrysburg, OH, Monday–Saturday, 9am–6 pm.
Rescheduling of the processing, judging and exhibit will be communicated as soon as details are available.

CONTEST RULES
Please read and follow the rules carefully. Otherwise, your entries may be disqualified.

- Entry fee is $5 per photo. Limit 10 photos per photographer.
- Payment instructions and drop off locations will be will be provided on the entry form from the website.
- All photos must be mounted securely on strong flat mounting board; unmounted photos will not be accepted.
- Photos must be at least 8” x 10” excluding matting and no larger than 18” x 24” including matting.
- Photos must not be framed or contain glass. Photos are not to be enclosed in plastic sleeves.
- Photos will be hung using Velcro. Photos that are too heavy to be supported in this manner will be disqualified. Examples include metal prints, wood backing, etc.
- No name, title, date or text is to be on the front of the photos.
- No nudes or offensive photographs or titles.
- Enter each photo in only one category.
- Winning photos from previous Photo Arts Club of Toledo annual contests are not eligible to enter.
- This contest is open to amateur photographers who earn less than 51% of their income from photography.
- Utmost care will be taken in handling and displaying photos, however the Photo Arts Club and Metroparks Toledo will not be liable for lost or damaged photos.
- An ID label will be attached to the upper right hand corner of the photo to identify the photographer and title after judging. Note that matting can help in preventing the ID label from obstructing the photo.
- The Photo Arts Club of Toledo and the Metroparks have the right to use all photos for informational and promotional purposes with photographer credit.

B: Plants (plants are the main subject-individual plants, close-ups or groupings, not scenic landscapes)
C: Animals (animals are the main subjects, including birds, insects, reptiles, etc.)
D: Places (landscapes, vistas and locations are the main subject)
E: Open (photographs that cannot be categorized in any other category, e.g. still life, abstracts, food, products, etc.)
F: Monochrome: (black & white or monotone. No selective color added).
G: The Christine Holliday Youth Division (17 and under) – photos from any of the above categories
H: The Oak Opening Regions -- Award sponsored by Metroparks Toledo

Celebrate the beauty of the Oak Openings Region by submitting photographs for the
first ever, Oak Openings Category in the annual Photo Arts Club Contest. Photos can be of the plants and animals that call the region home, the beautiful landscapes found in this region or people enjoying activities such as picnicking, hiking or birding. The first place winner will receive a Metroparks Membership and entered into a drawing to win a chance to stay at the Cannaley Treehouse Village. |
EXHIBIT DATES
Opening reception and exhibition on Friday, April 3, 2020 from 6 to 8 pm at NCNP. This is a free public event with light refreshments.
The exhibit continues through Saturday, May 30th, 2020 on Saturdays and Sundays from Noon to 6 p.m.
